Hi, my name is Jeroen Moes. I was born on February 27th, 1983. I was born in the beautiful city of Maastricht, where most of my family still lives. I have lived in Nijmegen for the past six years and now I live in Florence, Italy.

I did my bachelor's and master's studies at the Radboud University in Nijmegen (Netherlands), and my master's study programme there was called Social Cultural Sciences: Comparative Research on Societies. Quite a mouthful, but what it boils down to is a two-year research master (MSc(Res)) programme that combines sociology, cultural anthropology, communication sciences, and development studies. It is an interdisciplinary (or perhaps more accurately, multidisciplinary) programme. My master's thesis was about how people identify with their nation and with Europe, and how these two levels interact. I focused my writing on youth, and specifically Polish higher educated youth, for which I did fieldwork and took courses for five months in Cracow, Poland. On this website, I'll present some basic info on myself like my CV or some photographs, and keep you posted on what I'm up to. Also, this is the place where you can find some of my drafts, papers, theses, and other writings. It is a continuous work-in-progress, but hey, isn't everything?

Navigating this site is quite straightforward. Just use the menu above to reach the different sections!

Oh, I forgot to tell you; even though I try to publish as much as possibly in English, some of the information is only available in Dutch (most notably my blog).

Have fun, and if you get lost or can't find what you're looking for, just contact me or connect through online networking sites.
